He is shown to be very calm and reserved, balancing thinking and feeling (characteristic of an Ni-Se axis). Alain is also described as being strong with “the touch,” which is a mystical type of foreknowledge. The way he manifests it is analogous to introverted intuition. He is proficient in battle and is shown to fight rather systematically, lacking the raw dexterity of Roland and the daring of Cuthbert, but making up for it in economy of motion and strategy. The wiki describes him as difficult to anger, but dangerous when provoked. He’s also balanced between the ruthlessness of Roland and the wildness of Cuthbert in decision making, and holds Roland to account when Susan clouds his vision. Roland remarks that he is quite similar to Jake Chambers, an INFJ. The difference is that Alain leads with the logical side and backs it with feeling.
