Having niche interests doesn't automatically make one a type 4. I feel like typing him 4w3 is a gross misunderstanding of his character, in terms of his real motivation for living a corporate life and falling into a routine. 4w3 desire to be socially acclaimed for their uniqueness, and therefore are often grandiose in their expression. He isn't really concerned about presenting an "image" of being uniquely broken, or with special talents; the real reason why he fell into a routine was to fulfill his "obligations" of a breadwinner according to the mainstream values(6), so as to preserve the peaceful status quo with the his girlfriend(9).
