Antagonist in season 1. He’s the son of Mr. Kliner and violently usurped his father’s position as overseer of the money-laundering-ring because he deemed him as weak. He harboured great antipathy towards Reacher because he was a stranger to Margrave and because Reacher had a successful romantic & sexual relationship with Roscoe for whom KJ had unreciprocated feelings for. He described himself as someone who thinks prior to action and was generally a rigid and violent person. In his last moments before he was killed by Reacher in s1e8, he recounted an anecdote about an animal that he had killed where he criticised the animal’s pacified stupidity in its lack of foresight to defend itself from KJ’s attack on it, thereby outlining his distaste for nature & freedom. “He thought he could just lumber through life, go wherever he wanted, do whatever he wanted, f**k whoever he wanted, all without consequence. But in life, there’s always consequences.”
