Zheng is a super well-written example of an INTJ, imo, and one that really nicely defies the stereotype of INTJs being conniving schemers that always operate behind the scenes. (Not that I always dislike those types of characters.) His Ni-Te is obvious in that he actively uses his Te to organize towards his larger goal, Ni, which on the biggest scale is his goal of unification. Most of the actions he takes are in service of that motivation in some way or the other. Tertiary Fi because he clearly likes to indulge and reference his own personal moral framework, with it having a significant influence on him. It's definitely his child function that underpins everything he does; rather than actively putting it to regular use in his day-to-day life, Zheng is consistently referring to it to guide what he does. Inferior Se since he tends to not have the best awareness of his physical environment - you can easily see this in contrast to Se-dom Xin. Though he could definitely do a lot worse in that area lol. He's also clearly not into the approach of just jumping into the fray and figuring things out as they go, though to his credit he will resort to it if there's nothing else to be done. I can see the argument for INFJ because he's so adamant about his beliefs and they have a strong effect on him, but that doesn't display Fe imo. Just because his goal is to unify China and his ideals come from a place of warmth, desire to improve things, and faith in others, doesn't mean he's primarily interested in maintaining harmony between the people around him. In fact he's more than willing to disrupt external harmony and be hated and seen as a tyrant by everyone if it means achieving his goals. His belief in the inherent goodness of humans and a world without war where everyone will be equal under the law is far more influenced by his own experiences as a child despised by everyone around him who was then opened up to care, courage, and kindness by Zhi Xia. It's much more a conclusion he came to within himself. Furthermore he tends to keep these beliefs on the lowkey and work through them in private unless explaining them will help him make his point. Day-to-day tasks are not driven by concern for a "community" of the people around him, nor does he regularly take stock of people's emotions and factor them into his decision making. In other words, his ideals are a result of his emotional perception of his experiences, and what matters to him are his own beliefs, not those of others. He does have a solid awareness of the emotional states of those around him, but his end goal in the actions he takes is never about that, it's about how those emotional states will factor into his goal. With that in mind it's more a case of his Ni-Te showing than any Fe, imo. Obviously a type 1, he's a fictional depiction of Qin Shi Huang lol, and his goal is to get the world to align with his personal ideal. 1w9 specifically because, while he does have that ideal that he strives to steer the world around him towards, he's more detached and less outwardly- and people-focused.
