His family wanted him to be intelligent and academically inclined, but that's just not the person he is. So Jake fled to a place where he could be himself.

A SOLITARY SURVIVALIST Jake Park was born into a wealthy family, and with it, high expectations of him. These expectations caused immense pressure on Jake, especially when his brother graduated with honors from Yale. Eventually, he could not take it anymore and rebelled against his father, dropping out of school and running away to live in the nearby woods. He did not maintain contact with his father, but he still talked to his mother every once in a while. However, Jake soon stopped showing up, and his mother called the police. They tried their hardest to find him, but alas, Jake Park's body was never recovered. Many assume that the wilderness simply got the best of him. As a Survivor, Jake's unique perks Iron Will, Calm Spirit and Saboteur make him stealthier whilst also allowing him to disable the Killer's means of sacrificing him and his teammates. Iron Will greatly reduces the sound of your grunts of pain. Calm Spirit completely suppresses the urge to scream, lets you run freely without disturbing crows, and lets you open chests or cleanse totems silently, albeit at a greatly reduced rate. Saboteur reveals the auras of all hooks within 56 meters of a Survivor when they're picked up by the Killer, and lets you sabotage hooks without needing a toolbox.
