ok so i do think neku is a 9w8. by itself, 9 does sound kind of weird and i’ll admit that but the 8 wing makes it work. 9s tend to have to desire peace and calm, often preferring to remain unbothered by the outside world. you can see neku’s behavior in this, as one of the core aspects of his character involves how he wants to live his life how HE WANTS to live it without being bothered by the rest of the world. he wants to be able to openly live how he wants to without it being intruded on. all he wants, especially at the beginning is his peace of mind and internal stability. 8 > 1 for obvious reasons. the dude has no moral code whatsoever and really just does things without stopping to question it (him attempting to kill shiki as an example of this) and is pretty willing to do what he wants to attain internal peace.
