I suppose INFJ makes sense (at least more than anything else). He's generally insightful, and frequently seems to be searching for something to base his life around, though he can't quite find it. Although he thinks that a lot of the traditions he sees in Derry are weird and/or stupid, he feels a need to belong to a community of some sort, so he sticks around despite the fact that he's a misfit. While he's one of the more conscientious members of the group and does tend to become nervous under stress, he's not nearly on the level of Clare, whose inferior Ne goes haywire the moment someone transgresses even slightly. James' main insecurity across the show surrounds his desire to be seen as cool and manly (inferior Se issues + Fe's desire to conform to society's expectations). Of course, he fails completely, and even his impression of a "lad's lad" in the Protestant abseiling episode (basically a crude caricature of an ESTP) just makes people think he's a sexist.

Michelle's English cousin who's come to live with her family while his mother goes through a divorce. Due to his English accent and rather non-masculine appearance and mannerisms, he is forced to attend the same all-girls school as the others for his own safety. Like Clare, he's one of the nicer and more reasonable members of the group, but since he's in the minority as a boy and an Englishman, nobody ever listens to him.
