I'll copy here an argument I did for SeTi Jouno in a comment session so more people can see it. I’ll add a counter argument for Fe inferior approaches too. Jouno’s way of thinking and reasoning are Se > Ti in my opinion, We can see that he constantly observes the direct environment through his senses (Se) and then applies this information logically, according to his own reasoning (Ti). Jouno isn’t much of an observer, he’s more of a doer. Cognitively introverted functions, such as Ti, are more naturally focused to their mind and are less quick to absorb information from the environment, while cognitively extroverted functions, such as Se, are more naturally focused to the surroundings and how to apply that surroundings with feelings or logic. The latter fits Jouno character more to me, we can see this in his ability, he first observes and then he arrives to conclusions (Se > Ti). Now moving on, I’ll explain why I believe he is socio Se > socio Ti. To those not so well versed in socionics, I'll put the types too. Se base (SLE - ESTp - usually found in SeTi): “The individual feels at home among people who are actively doing something and interacting with each other directly (visibly), and is able to organize people, move them around as necessary, and guide them in achieving a specific goal. He or she likes obedience and even subservience in others, since it allows him to “make things happen” more effectively. He is keenly aware of territorial conflicts and confrontational behavior occurring around him.” Ti base (LSI - ISTj - usually found in TiSe): “The individual views reality through the lens of logic, immediately recognizing the correctness and appropriateness of things and their proper place in reality and in his system of views and behavior. He freely makes logical assertions, often exaggerated, about new information and experience.” Se in socionics is about power and about maintaining order, Ti in socionics is about structuring logical systems according to your own rules. Jouno has a set of rules for himself though I believe his main traits are fitting with socionics Se. Jouno is a person attracted to power and to force and he likes to organize the people around him in a proactive way. We see him organizing the hunting dogs constantly, he’s easily a leader. Ti base in socionics has a fixed knowledge, that is their own, which is why they may be too intransigent with their reasonings, while Ti creative (SLE) adapts that information if needed in an intelligent and proactive way which is basically what Jouno always does concerning the plans of the group. I also believe he fits better Fi PoLR (SLE) than Ne PoLR (LSI), Jouno more easily contemplates possibilities (we also see that with him considerating all the possible routes and not only the one that made the most sense for him) than make interpersonal connections. We only really see him interacting more freely with the hunting dogs and he still struggles to interact with people in a personal level or to empathize with others. That shows the Fi vulnerable (PoLR) since Fi in socionics is mainly the ability to empathize and form interpersonal connections with others. Why Fe inferior arguments lack reasoning: First of all, we should always type characters based on their superior functions, that are the most prominent, without relying too much on inferior and tertiary functions. Though, I'll still explain why being Fe tertiary is not being considerate. I don't get why y'all seem too attached to the idea that Fe tertiary is when considerate, ESPECIALLY because SLEs (the sociotype for almost all ESTPs) are Fi PoLR, therefore they struggle with forming emotional and interpersonal connections TOO. Fe has nothing to deal with being empathetic and being good to others, that is more of a Fi in socionics thing. Fi in socionics: "when they find a degree of mutual respect towards others, they can be deeply empathetic, compassionate, and loyal". Therefore, my point is, there is no way you can argue for someone not being ESTP because they are "too good to be Fe tertiary" when you should considerate that they are mostly Fi vulnerable. Basically, I feel this page is demonizing and mistaking the true meaning of inferior Fe. If anyone has an argument for Ti > Se Jouno without relying on inferior Fe I'll be glad to listen though.
