One of Rico's fundamental flaws is his inability to process frustrating realities (demon Se), characterized best in the season 2 finale when he is appalled to learn that David and Nate won't increase his share. Rather than ask why he responds with shock, only to understand later how he wouldn't join without marrying Claire. This demon (Se) is best demonstrated during Rico's mental breakdown after seeing his cousin "wrestling" another worker. While unprofessional, Rico, instead of removing himself from the situation or pointing out how their actions interrupt fixing his house. Instead of using healthy Te, Rico swears at the top of his lungs before kicking these repairmen to the curb. I argue he has unhealthy Se instead of Fe because of how ineffective this rage achieves his intended result. Compare this attitude to Keith, an unapologetic Te user who, when equally furious at David for keeping their relationship closeted, quickly retaliates, "Sure, [I'll sleep with you] after you stop lying to me." This response is before abruptly slamming the door to avoid any further conversation.
