To put it simply, his interlude story is clear Ni-dominant, exemplified by his perfectionistic attitude towards an abstract ideal, a primary vision of what he wanted to be in the future. While this may apply to Si as well, the way he was enamored by the mere essence of being a "Smith" while overlooking its concrete characteristics, and the way his values mainly came from an environment that supports said ideal as a result and not from himself points to his Ni-Fe dynamic instead. After becoming a construct and finally gaining some freedom, he eventually questions it and now tries to release himself from the shackles that were imposed on him during his childhood. His Fe is undeniable, as seen in his natural sympathy and sentimental attachment towards his teammates, as well as his leadership abilities which primarily seeks to coordinate everyone's personalities for external harmony. However, it is far from his dominant function, since Chrome's focus is more on his internal world, and his Ni has always been the core of his personality.
