Edit: This comment is extremely old, but anyways, the more I think about it, I think he might actually be a 6, considering his anxious and self-doubting personality, his cautiousness and tendency to troubleshoot; his initial blind-trust in the British government before developing a very rebellious attitude towards them after the whole Zicterium incident as well as his rebelliousness towards Idea in "Future Blessings," his loyalty to Cardia, and him somewhat using Cardia to try to alleviate his guilt might arguably be a form of projection. I'm not completely sold on it yet though. He's either a 6 with a strong 9-fix or a 9 with a strong 6-fix imo. Also, I definitely don't think he's a core 2 anymore (I made this comment way back when the majority of the votes for his profile was for 2w3, now there's barely any votes for that type anymore.) Maybe in his tritype, but definitely not his core. He has so little pride (the opposite actually; he's incredibly modest and he has pretty poor self-worth for much of the story), he's not really possessive, he doesn't feel the need for his efforts and kindness to be reciprocated, he doesn't seem to really need validation from others, and there's no traits of disintegration to 8 during his unhealthy moments. MILD SPOILERS FOR HIS ROUTE I could see either 2 or 9 for his enneagram (I'm leaning a bit more towards 9 because I see 6 disintegration in him), but if he is a core 2, why 2w3 over 2w1? I don't see much 3 traits (concern for his image, competitiveness, the type of ambition that 3s can be prone to, etc.) I see more 1 traits, with his idealism, concern for morality and doing what he believes is right no matter what (in his route, he is very adamant in his refusal to work with Queen Victoria because he believed what she was doing was morally wrong, for example.)
