Jamie was a lonely, insecure boy who got wrapped into the wrong crowd, and was manipulated by red pill/ black pill content. Consistent exposure to these hate based ideas served to validate his own feelings of inferiority, while also stoking his hatred for the group of people he felt ostracized by (girls). While it seems slightly excessive to label him as purely evil, his actions (both the murder and the sympathy seeking manipulation) were absolutely malevolent. Ultimately, Jamie’s character served as a representation of the darker side of modern youth (particularly young boys), and how detrimental the internet can be to their influenceable, developing minds.
