Leektar was an Ewok elder of the Bright Tree tribe who lived in Bright Tree Village on the planet Endor. After the Ewoks of the Bright Tree tribe captured a group of rebels and brought them back to the village, Leektar stood and watch in the village center as the prisoners were prepared to be served in a banquet in honor of the protocol droid C-3PO, who the Ewoks had mistaken for the deity known as the Golden One. After the prisoner Luke Skywalker lifted C-3PO into the air using the Force, the Ewoks released the rebels and ultimately agreed to fight alongside the rebels against the Galactic Empire on Endor. After the newly formed alliance triumphed over the Empire, Leektar joined the celebration that were held in Bright Tree Village.
