I feel like an argument could be made for either INTP or ISTJ, but for now, I go with INTP. If he was an ISTJ, he would be way more systematic in his thinking, and I just don't see that in him at all. He has way too much of that Ti cynicism. I think the best example of INTP over ISTJ is the scene where him and Sloane are discussing college plans while Ferris is on the parade float. Cameron doesn't have any clear plans for what he's going to do in college and is just so apathetic about the whole prospect. It might be a bit of a stereotype, but I just cannot imagine an ISTJ being so apathetic about everything. I think his rigidity and uptightness comes from the fact that he's a So 6. As the poster below me stated, he's pretty much the definition of the type. He obviously has the strong fear of authority (his father, most of all) and, as such, is a big stickler for rules and obeying any authority figure even if they're in the wrong.
