Watching his press conferences may lead you to think he's an ISTJ, but that's just because of his Te dominating in the restricted environment. Watch his behind-the-scenes interviews in documentaries and you'll see he is Ni-dominant. Also look at his interviews from when he was an assistant coach. He despises orthodoxy and generally does not respect authority (e.g. Bill Parcells, his former boss). He also doesn't care about breaking rules (see his numerous encounters with the commissioner). He also talks a lot about making decisions through his gut instinct (e.g. not calling that timeout at the end of the Seahawks super bowl). This is the opposite behavior you'd expect from an ISTJ, but in line with an INTJ. Football strategy wise, his entire philosophy is to do whatever the optimal decision is at that particular moment. He will go from a 100% pass team one week to an old school 100% run team the next week. Belichick is the only coach who doesn't have a particular "style" or "scheme". He doesn't care about fitting into those categories.
