Actually, after replaying Platinum and reading his quotes on Bulbapedia, I'm starting to lean a bit towards ENFP now. I'm really unsure about this, but the way he was inspired to try to find a mirage Pokemon at Verity Lakefront after reading a news story regarding a Red Gyarados (and continuing to believe there is one despite others telling him there isn't) in the original Diamond/Pearl games, him pondering over what he and the player character would be doing had they not ran into Professor Rowan in Platinum, and his overall focus on his dreams and his future strike me as a bit Ne-ish? Once again, I'm not really sure if these really are indicators of Ne, so feel free to counterargue this if you disagree.
