"Momose Sunohara “Momo”은 어떤 성격 유형입니까? Momose Sunohara “Momo”은 mbti의 ESFP 성격 유형입니다. enneagram의 7w6 - so/sx - 729, big 5의 SLUAI, socionics의 SEE입니다."
most people seem to agree that momo is an ESFP so i dont feel the need to argue for that, so i’ll argue for his enneagram instead, which i believe to be so8 instead of so7. “Social Eights are very sensitive to detecting situations in which people are being persecuted or exploited by others that hold more power. When they detect this kind of thing, they tend to act to protect those who are less powerful.” (beatrice chestnut). This is best demonstrated throughout the entire tsukumo incident, as momo went to great lengths to shield yuki and his kouhais from ryo, who held the most power in the industry at the time. Everything he did demonstrates how he protects the weak while upholding his authority, which resembles the so8s obsession with justice. “I’ll do it. It’s a good opportunity to get on people’s good side. Let’s show them that when push comes to shove, it’s us they can rely on and not Tsukumo. If we don’t, then Tsukumo will swallow everyone up. Like them (zool).” (third beat p2 ep5). This is even portrayed in the re:member manga, as he developed good relationships with higher-ups to gain some power in the industry, so that re:vale can rise to the top. “Drinking parties were the perfect chance to promote us. I could have control of the human and power based relationships within the intricately entangled world of business.” (re:member vol3 ch4). I’ll also explain why he isn’t an e7, specifically a social 7: Gluttony is the passion of e7s, which results in a “fear of missing out.” They always prioritize pleasure and try to avoid anything that will cause pain, conflict, frustration, etc. This isn’t present in momo at all, especially in his reason for being an idol. He became an idol with yuki so that revale wouldn’t end, yet this brought a lot of suffering to his life. His sister and parents cut ties with him because they didn’t approve of momo working with yuki, and becoming “ban’s replacement” brought him a lot of misery as he was both frustrated at yuki (for not noticing what he was going through) and himself (for even thinking like this). if he were an e7, i really don't think he would actually pursue this career since e7s prioritize feeling good above all, which isn’t the case for momo. e7s are also quick to cut ties with people because they have a fear of commitment. Momo doesn’t have a fear of commitment as we see him forming many close bonds with all the characters. He even struggles cutting ties with ryo despite knowing he’s a bad person. The so7 sacrifices their need for pleasure with a narcissistic ideal in which they desire recognition for being “pure” and superior due to their “selfless” deeds. Again, doesn’t really fit momo at all since he doesn’t even think about wanting anything in return from others. “I didn’t think about wanting any thanks from him. I figured he’d be sad if he knew about it. I’m here for Yuki-san’s sake.” (re:member vol3 ch4). However, the more he works with yuki, the more he wants to be recognized for his hard work. This may look like the so7’s narcissism at first, but i think this resembles the e2 fix in his tritype (2>7), because this thought process stems from his yearning for yuki’s love. “Don’t tell me I’m a replacement. Tell me that you want to keep singing with me.” (re:member vol3 ch4). If he were a so7, i think he would rather prefer to be seen as “ban’s replacement” because it better represents the enneagram’s image of a “saintly” person. However, that's not what momo desires at all. When it comes to the other characters, he doesn’t help them to fuel his narcissistic ideal but because of his sense of duty as a senpai, which fits the so8 i think. “Yuki: To come and ask for advice again, you sure are kind to people… They almost threw you off a veranda you know? Momo: I’m just doing my job as a senpai in the business world.” (part 4) “We have to do something. It’s what a senior idol is supposed to do to help his juniors. (...) If what happened to Ryu happened to you too, I’d bite my own tongue and kill myself. I’ve decided that from now on, I’m taking an overprotective approach.” (third beat p2 ep6) Anyway, im surprised with the lack of e8 votes but i hope more ppl will consider it.
