Here's why, in my opinion, Ethan Nakamura is an ISFP 1w2: 01. Why is he an ISFP? Fi dom: Most of his character revolves around his personal vision of justice, of morality. (Spoiler!) First he allies himself with Luke, then, when he realizes that Luke is wrong, he sides against him and dies trying to kill him. He has a purely subjective way of seeing ethics, without taking into account what objective ethics is (Fi > Fe). He moves totally following his own personal version of justice, not depending on anyone's opinion. Se aux: The Se > Ne is quite obvious, actually. He is focused on what he can currently and practically do, showing himself, among other things, to be a great strategist thanks to his observation skills: he evaluates the scene and acts accordingly. He doesn't get lost in following possibilities, he simply sees what is there, not what could be there. 0.2: Why 1w2? As mentioned before, his character is structured following the "right/wrong" duality, even if subjectively. 1 is, by definition, the enneatype that behaves in this way. Not to mention the passion of the enneatype 1: anger. Are you telling me that Ethan isn't acting out of anger that's been pent up for too long? He does, it's the first thing you notice about him when he's first introduced in the book. And we absolutely shouldn't forget about the enneatype 1's need for justice. Ethan is the bearer of justice, of balance. Just like a good enneatype 1.
