Faramir MBTI 성격 유형

Funny the two major INFP’s in the books (him and Frodo) don’t have regard for the power of the ring and are (arguably) the least tempted by it. From personal experience, I think a lot of the supposed laziness that INFP’s have is really rooted in their disinterest for power, a distaste for status and a contempt for self-promotion. This can be misguided, though, and can result in an almost incurable lack of ambition and aimless drifting; all or nothing thinking can produce revulsion in the INFP to even good ambitions. I think part of the hero’s journey for the INFP is coming to terms to the fact that not all achievement is bad and that we’re not called to live life in a stalemate. (Side note: I think this is what they got right about Luke Skywalker’s arc in The Last Jedi, where his initial answer to end all the conflict was to do nothing and effectively drown the Jedi Order, but once he snaps out of that he realizes that inaction can be as harmful as action).

Boromir's younger brother, but the two are quite different; while Boromir is constantly tempted by the Ring and succumbs to it, Faramir rejects it on principle without even seeing it, and later wards off the temptation quickly when he discovers it's in front of him. (This was changed for dramatic reasons in the films, but even then it's more about securing it for his father Denethor than using it himself.) He becomes even more central in the third novel, as the action moves to his homeland of Gondor.
