This is the content I wanted. Now it's easy to type him! Aggressive Chapter 2 spoilers ahead! First, an explanation on ESTP. It's apparent that David doesn't look beyond anything but the surface level. He's extremely adaptive and seeks to use his environment to his disposal in order to advance his goals. His values are evidently not based on anything objective information whatsoever and are just a warped set of values based on what he sees (Se + Ti). He's a pessimistic nihilist with a clear disdain for humanity. After showing his true colors, it's evident he just takes whatever opportunity he's handed in order to make life more miserable for others. He exploits evident weaknesses in other people and has shown to be freakishly manipulative. The fact he was able to uphold his act and to the degree that he was able to trick so many people for so long indicates to me that he simply MUST be Se dominant, and furthermore, utilize Ti and Fe. Hell, I believe in the Jungian system more yet I still can't see any other possibility for him in MBTI. Even his inherent lack of intuition is there from the fact he doesn't care about concept exploration or depth. He barely puts any thought into how his external environment can be used to determine one whole idea or how concepts can predict future outcomes and events. He's just so focused on ruthlessly "consuming" his environment to fuel his agenda. For some specific examples in the trial, he switches from denying he killed Arei to saying he killed Arei in order to (I believe) get everyone wrongfully executed. When he realized he'd continue to be pressed, he switched his entire strategy while somehow staying true to his true mindset of life. He increased his nuisance act and purposefully made himself seem worse just to try and get everyone to want to vote faster (also showcasing his high-level manipulative knowledge). His explanation of why Hu was so easy to manipulate isn't based on any objective ideas or values, but his own personal evaluation of the situation that manages to be purely "logical." Now to explain so3 and my fix choices for him. From an overall perspective, it's become very evident that David's career choice was to garner praise and attention. There's no other reason (that's been made clear to the audience yet) that he would do so, and there's clear evidence to back it up. When he monologues about being a motivational speaker, he specifies how people "eat his speeches up" and how he just lies to people for praise. Only someone who wants glory and to increase their public position in the world will say that was their reason for being a motivational speaker. Emotional manipulation is not limited to specific types, but the fact he's able to change his image so well while seeming completely legit is something I'd attribute to E3. It's clear he wants to be above others, and the idea of acting like someone he considers stupid or boring makes him angry. Because his manipulation is on such a wide level and that he doesn't seem to care at all how he obtains his goals leads me to specifically say so3. 7 and 8 go hand in hand here, and I don't really mind or care switching them around. I'd say he presents stronger E7 traits almost entirely on the fact his career centered around preaching ideals that he himself didn't even believe in. His thinking is quick, snappy, and always seeks to serve his own goals no matter how selfless it may seem. Such aspects of his personality are likened to being E7. E8 is just because he's so...vengeful. He presents a oppositional, dominant energy that makes you kinda hate him, but that's also why you kinda like him. Neither E7 or E8 are candidates for his core enneagram though, because, again, his motivations first are foremost and glory and prestige. The idea that he is above others and is seen and someone worth following. Even now, as people dislike him and he appears disheveled, he carries himself in a manner that assumes superiority. Expressions and mannerisms that just SCREAM "I am better than you. You are beneath me." I certainly love him now, but I understand why you'd be on the opposite side of the spectrum. We've been given a lot, and I'd really love to see counterarguments if anybody has any! Thank you for reading my argument. <3
