The split in votes is fascinating, and it likely stems from two competing influences in Aglaea’s characterization. As the heir of Romance/Goldweaver she embodies a sensual, feeling-oriented mythos, and as the oldest and most mature of the Chrysos Heirs when we meet them, she naturally assumes a guiding, almost parental role. Together, these elements make the Ni/Fe conclusion understandable. However, it’s crucial we don’t fall into the trap of assuming that caring about society, friends, and subordinates automatically equals high Fe otherwise we’d have to classify half the world as Fe users and the other half as sociopaths. An INFJ reading of Aglaea is superficial and misses what she actually says, does, and believes about the Chrysos Heir journey. - TeSi, not NiFe Aglaea believes in observable evidence, not baseless faith. As a literal demigod who has met the titan people worship and claimed its coreflame, she possesses irrefutable proof that the journey works—at least for her. Each successful repetition reinforces her TeSi framework: it’s true, it’s repeatable, therefore she’ll continue. She transmutes her lived, factual experience into guidance for others, even at the cost of individuality, freedom, and play. This is textbook TeSi operating at the expense of NeFi. She sees the necessary steps clearly and, though she tolerates human error, it fundamentally frustrates her. Her remaining “humanity” (which in my view can be seen as a metaphor for inferior Fi) allows for this tolerance despite the urgency, not a desire for external harmony (Fe). Her Te dominance enables this approach. She possesses the explicit means to create external order, and failing to enact them would contradict her entire worldview. All J types, especially Fe or Te doms, desire some form of unification of people (universal laws, etiquette, or practicality), which differentiates them from P types or Ti and Fi doms especially. The distinction lies in how they pursue it and *why* they think the way they do. - INFJ? While Aglaea is undoubtedly intelligent and articulate, comparing her with Sunday reveals the difference between NiFe and TeSi leadership. Sunday constantly poses theoretical questions, weaves elaborate symbolism, and constructs intricate games and puzzles—his tertiary lower Ti provoking through abstraction. His concept of “harmony” remains symbolic and intangible. His journey toward villainy comes at disillusionment with people not behaving in a way that suits his NiFeTi. Aglaea, by contrast, simply identifies what must be done and does it or directs others to do it even at the cost of her own humanity or others’ approval. She’s oriented toward bringing concrete structure to the world itself, not abstract ideals of harmony. Aglaea doesn’t possess the “disembodied” quality of a Ni dom either. Her approach is decidedly practical rather than visionary on its own. Her rare moments of spontaneity emerge only with her closest friends, or when she has to think outside of the box for a solution (Tert Ne), which read to me more like lower NeFi used positively but sparingly. - TeSi va TiNe Aglaea’s opposition to (and eventual alignment with) Anaxa is better understood as TeSi versus TiNe, not Fe versus Te. She trusts observable facts that have proven effective and should therefore continue working. Anaxa questions this framework at its foundation, demanding it prove itself against his Ti standards. He constantly searches for ways to undermine her factual logic, looking outside, underneath, and inside the box, which frustrates her deeply. Their eventual acceptance stems from reconciling these approaches: logical order meeting rational chaos, TeSi finding common ground with TiNe. - Examining the Aglaea we meet in 3.5 reinforces the Te dom reading, I think. Even her desire for clothing, as told through Hysilens’ perspective, reflects TeSi thinking. To Aglaea, clothing brings unified structure among humans on land; Hysilens’ more personal, non-practical view stands in direct opposition. We can trace this seemingly offhand observation as a guiding principle for most of Aglaea’s behavior, even when she was more spirited before becoming a demigod. ESTJs are generally more forward and outgoing than their stereotype suggests—a detail often missed in typings. They tend to be people-oriented through their Te-Ne axis, with Si remaining more personal. This describes Aglaea well: engaged with the world, bringing tangible structure to it, organizing people through practical systems rather than abstract ideals. ESTJs as a rule aren’t uncaring or friendless, so to claim she can’t be a Te dom because she’s caring simply doesn’t hold up under the mountain of evidence for her Te. In short: I think Aglaea is an ESTJ tempered by the sensual/romantic elements of her role as a demigod of Romance.
