Victor Fet is a professor of Department of Biological Sciences, Marshall University (Huntington, West Virginia, USA). His research interests lie in various aspects of evolution, genetics, biogeography and taxonomy of scorpions. His research involves reconstructing scorpion evolution and phylogeny with molecular techniques, particularly mitochondrial DNA PCR and sequence analysis. He is also interested in taxonomy, systematics, paleontology, morphology, and various phenomena specific to scorpions, including in particular their sensory organs. He also collaborates on projects in molecular evolution of other animals. His interest in writing poems and objection to wars demonstrate his philosophical ideas for humanity.
