I got into some of this a bit more hostile on Edie's page but I can be a bit more sympathetic here. The conflict between Edie and Dawn, to me anyway, is very clear cut high si versus high ni. Okay. Rn they're both high Si and Ni users, but somehow it seems like they got put on the wrong side. Dawn wants to move on, grow from the past, and do better by her kids. Edie is perfectly content not to change a thing, and too focused on the past to worry about the future. It's all unavoidable, right? So what's the point in changing anything? What's the point in worrying? "The thing you're afraid of isn't going to end when you leave the house!" In other words, there's no point in moving. "Edith has a right to know these stories!" The past takes precedent and is more important "My children are dead because of your stories!" Fuck that, this crazy obsession with the past and this curse cost me two of my kids "I think it's best if Edith and I leave tonight." So I'm taking the one kid I have left because I'll try anything to save her Also from Edith "Mom was always trying to move on, but for Edie the past never went away" Idk it seems pretty clear to me, hopefully now it'll be clearer to y'all too.
