Since this is my own Aspect, take the following paragraph with a grain of salt - subjectivism is unavoidable. I can grasp why the majority assign ISTJ for Doom, but personally, I see it as a Ni-centered Aspect. Introverted Intuition is basically summing up all the info you unconsciously received from the past/present to predict the single future outcome. Goes well with that fatalism Doom's associated with. Extended Zodiac also paints Doom players as the ultimate counselors: they are not merely *able* to empathize and listen to your ventings, they are *willing* to do it. Both of these notions make INFJ a reasonable choice in my eyes. Additionally, inferior Se could explain why Doom isn't really great at helping: that would require actually *doing* something, rather than just sit and listen to others' troubles.

Those bound to the aspect of Doom are fate's chosen sufferers. It may not sound like an overly pleasant aspect to be aligned with, but it does come along with great wisdom and empathy. The Doom-bound understand that misery loves company, and they are ready and willing to provide said company. The Doom-bound won't fix you; they aren't healers. They are commiserators, aware that sometimes the only thing you can do for a person is let them know that they are not alone in their suffering.
