As an INTJ, I must say when it comes to raw cognitive horsepower / IQ, INTPs generally take the cake. INTJs have a stronger affinity for applied intelligence and using it for practical means (business, career planning, military strategies, political system design, strategic roadmap of any kind). INTPs are more suited for purely intellectual pursuits (academic research, hard sciences, very theoretical stuff that has to do with understanding systems rather than designing systems). INTPs are an interesting bunch. Out of 10 INTPs, 8 of them would be lazy and unmotivated bums who can’t be fked channeling a fraction of their potential to practical real world pursuits. But if you look at turbo genius brainiacs at the far right end of the bell curve, they’re almost always INTPs
