From the first movie, he's quite more "childish" than game Sonic (especially his Adventure era and Unleashed iterations). Movie Sonic cares more about his own excitement first and foremost, being enthusiastic over exploring the human world while being a headache to Tom at times, and never seemed to have a grand goal of saving the world or anything and was just sent to do so. He just knew that Robotnik was no good the moment he tried to hurt his newfound family, he finds home and security in the Wachowskis (wow that rhymes lol). Game Sonic, on the other hand, was once very cocky towards other animals but after he saw Eggman capturing them all, he puts an end to it without any other underlying reason. Movie Sonic feels emotionally attached to the people who cares for him despite caring for adventure first and foremost and has a clearer personal moral compass (ESFP sx/so 7w6) while Game Sonic is less in it for adventures but more so for kicking Eggman's butt for endangering others (don't get me wrong, he's still quite adventurous, but he never sees the world in a rose-colored filter and lovingly bothers his friends about it like how Movie Sonic does) and he goes by his own way despite not certainly knowing what is wrong and what is right (yes that is his Sonic Adventure theme's reference, and he's def an ESTP so/sx 7w8). Movie Sonic doesn't have any internal logic to be Ti, he had to unleash his strongest form through anger for how Robotnik endangered his found family, and that sounds like Fi to me. While Game Sonic figured out how to utilize the Chaos Emeralds to its fullest by his own logic (like how he could Chaos Control first try without having it explained to him in Sonic Adventure 2), which is pure Ti.
