I am heavily unsure about her MBTI, for me it’s a debate between ESFP or ENFP, but I’ll leave it to those who know more about the novel to decide (especially those who have read the whole thing). However, she certainly has very strong Fi, to the point I even almost considered typing her as a Fi dom, but she felt more Pe dominant throughout the story (however I’d gladly see IXFP arguments!). She judged Gentle the most intensely and had strong convictions about him being an unforgivable murder, even sharing her thoughts afterwards with Es. During her own judgment, she refuses to accept Es’ initial judgment of her as “forgiven”, and takes matters into her own hands to ensure that Es would judge her as guilty because to her, suicide is considered unforgivable. Combined with everything else that happened as a result of her actions, she had to find a way for her Fi to win, which she did, earning her the verdict she wanted. Also, she is said to not really feel the importance of belonging to a particular group, which feels like a lack of Fe to me. She is also always in tune with her feelings: both in her life and in MILGRAM she is aware of her love of Two-side and her desires. On a related note, that is why I chose ESFP over ENFP. She exhibits both Se and Ne strongly but her Se is what leads her to always act in the moment and take things at face value. Her decision to choose Unabara over her own best friend without realizing just how bad it could get for Sumi until it actually happened shows inferior Ni, and I can probably believe opposing role Si more than opposing role Ni. She kisses Two-side in MILGRAM and is more bothered when interrupted rather than being ashamed, because she feels that if they are all doomed here, they might as well act on their desires. She took Gentle’s murder at face value (“he killed someone without thinking, he’s dangerous, he should be unforgiven”) rather than questioning if there were other things behind it. Also, I remember that when talking about Jacka she would stress the part that she is a rabbit, while I feel a Ne dom would be more into playing with the idea that a jackalope actually exists and is with them, rather than just calling it a rabbit. However, she also shows Ne in how she interacts, especially towards Es. She comes to Es, imagining a future where they can play together in a happier place, fantasizing to both of them despite knowing they are all doomed, as a form of relief. In her life, she was a hopeless romantic who would constantly tell Sumi of her love stories and daydreams about Unabara. When Unabara comforts her, she views it like a confession, perceiving it as coming from a place of genuine affection. It’s very possible that either Se or Ne is actually her demon function coming out, since being MILGRAM would definitely bring that out, but I’m not sure which one it is and which one is just who she naturally is. I just needed to vote for strong Fi. However, I am willing to change my vote if someone gives a good argument! Also, I was having a hard time deciding between 2 and 7, and I’d still love to see arguments for both, however I lean towards 7 because I think her core desire really is to satisfy her desires and be happy and content, and when she starts being racked with guilt (7 to 1 disintegration) is the point when she breaks, sends everything to Kawai, and attempts suicide, because she couldn’t handle the stress of it all, to the point where she even couldn’t turn to her brother for help. She wants affection and love, yes, but from what I see it’s more of wanting to be loved so she can feel the joys of being loved rather than so she can feel wanted. Her sin also feels closer to gluttony (indulging in desires) than pride.
