I feel like people are probably confusing type 2s for social 9s. I can't see much explanations for type 2, and the ones I've seen seem to just be describing social 9 anyway. She doesn't seem to demonstrate any hints of pride or a need to be liked like a type 2, but simply wants to make her people happy, even if they conflict with her own desires. This is a very a typical conflict for social 9s as they put a lot of effort into supporting and maintaining whichever community they feel a part of and, as core 9s, are stated to regularly "fall asleep to their own selves", which results in social 9s often thinking more about their community than they do of themselves. I've considered type 1 as well at first, but her motivations don't seem to stem from a desire to be perfect or to perfect others. She follows her duty strictly in order to support her people, and does not impose standards or morals on herself unless she sees it directly helping the people she cares for.

Princess of the Northern Water Tribe, Yue was born a sickly baby. In an effort to cure her, her father prayed to the Moon and Ocean Spirits for her health, and the Moon Spirit obliged, giving her a part of its life. Years later, she fell in love with Sokka, but felt conflicted over it due to her arranged marriage with another Water tribe warrior. When Zhao killed the Moon Spirit, Yue used the life energies the Moon Spirit used to heal her to bring back the moon, losing her life in the process. She now acts as the new Moon Spirit and occasional Spirit Advisor to Aang.
