I'm basing all of my words on the movie since I never read the book, and I'm not very knowledgeable with cognitive functions so take my words as a grain of salt. Also, English isn't my first language so I apologize for the grammar. I was contemplating whether she's either INTJ or ENTJ but I'd like to lean on ENTJ this time. She's very results-oriented, that's one thing I noticed for sure. She demands things to be quick, and get things done as fast as possible, and doesn't want to waste time especially when the stakes are high and the quarter of humanity would die in 30 years. I like the small touch of her saying she needs two cups of coffee, which basically means that she's constantly working. She had a vision, and is willing to do anything to make her goals happen. Personally speaking, I never hated her at all. In fact, I understood why she had to do all those things. Yes, forcing Grace to travel to Tau Ceti was an asshole move, but she did it because she believes in him to save humanity. She wants to save the world, and sometimes, you really have to make sacrifices that overline what is ethical.
