his decision to stop creating Calvin and Hobbes and his resolve to never support merchandising his characters are perhaps some of the strongest examples of Fi I've ever seen. I think he's immensely respectable and admirable for maintaining his integrity on this after all these years, despite how much money and renown he likely could have accrued. there's certainly something to be said for maintaining your artistic vision and the purity of your creation, rather than potentially seeing its value be lessened and tarnished
