why sexual 6 for him? i feel like i see sexual 4 much more. his entire motivation for committing the series of murders was because of his rampant envy and rage towards the love sidney received over him, and he wanted to make her suffer like he did in his childhood ('and for the mother, and for the family, and for the stardom and goddamnit everything you had that should've been mine!) and beatrice chesnut states that 'Sexual Fours make others suffer as an unconscious way of trying to rid themselves of painful feelings of deficiency.' which sounds almost identical to roman's entire motive. he taunts sidney to make himself feel less pain surrounding his trauma. also, sexual fours are driven by competition - something which roman exhibits in his quest to psychologically compete with sidney but also shown in his determination to have a successful stab film. chesnut also says that 'Sexual Fours “make others suffer” because they feel that they have been made to suffer and so need some sort of compensation.
