I'm new to the Enneagram system and on the fence about Erin's type. If anyone with more knowledge could provide some insight, that would be much appreciated! He has a lot of 3 traits (confident to the point of having a big ego, likes showing off, etc.) but from my understanding the goal of 3s is to become distinguished or improve themselves. 5s, on the other hand, value knowledge and gaining understanding of the world. Erin's motivations align much more with that side. For example, he traveled to the center of the Elemental Storm simply to learn more about it, not for any status he might gain from the expedition (explained in the beginning of chapter 6: https://comicaurora.com/aurora/1-6-1/). His ego is more so from the status he already has as the Elemental Magus, rather than what he hopes to gain, as far as I can see. Can Erin be a 5 that acts more like a 3?
