(Because most of us think he is a INFP, while as for me, I think he is more like INTP than INFP.)The evidence is as follows: Many people learn about Poe from his novels, but he is an artist, and the characters created by him is not Edgar Allan Poe! He created the narrator of "the Black Cat" and "the Tell-Tale Heart" that doesn't mean that he is a murderer. Also, he created many different person with different personality, such as C. Auguste Dupin who is definitely a INTP, while Roderick Usher is definitely a INFP, so it is unwise to judge a person merely by his tales which describe others. So I look for evidence from his essays.
