Megan often plays caricatures of ENFPs, ESFPs, and ISFPs in her comedy, which is very misleading. It's misleading since it's hard to find videos or interviews of Stalter where she isn't in character. And with the popularity of her HBO stand-up special, it's clear to see she has a lot of people fooled. (Just take a look at the YouTube comments section full of people confidently damning her as the worst stand-up comedian.) As a huge fan of Megan Stalter, I'm proud to say this isn't the case. It is absolutely through having high Fe that she is able to convince people of an alternative authenticity. High Fe users (xxFJ types) are extremely literate in understanding behavior and how different types of people show up, socially. Ever wonder why Megan's comedy so perfectly makes you cringe for this supposedly oblivious, rash girl? It's Fe. Or rather, it's her detailed (Si) literacy in the social effects of how people behave (Fe.) Furthermore, in listening to her podcast, (specifically the "REAL TALK" episodes in which the persona dissolves,) it's clear her world is all about people. The people around her, her family, her friends. She is extremely caring, and pays great attention to the people around her (Fe.) She has the exact charm ESFJs have. They are warm and caring yet are always expecting the best from those around them. She seems wholly supportive to whomever she is talking with. Every guest she has on her show really gets along with her because of ESFJs natural interest in friendship and sympatico. I wish I had written down what she had said, but there was an episode where she was talking about how she prefers to be within a schedule otherwise she feels disoriented. Forgive me for not remembering exactly what she said, but I immediately thought "oh she's an FJ and that comes through in both her real life desire for comradery as well as her acute understanding of the social emotional abstract that comes through in her comedy." Si and Ne work closely together to bring forth how her comedy is astute and effective. Si understands conventions and standards, but Ne working closely in the background is what gives willingness to break those standards and show up as an entirely novel/unpredictable thing. ESFJs use Fe and Si in tandem, it basically gives them a singular insight to the details of human behavior, but tertiary Ne is maybe what gives them their "it" factor. When healthy, they are unafraid to follow uncertainty and become trailblazers within their organized, social life.
