Bret is an exemplary case of a reasonable, calm, collective and balanced INTP. Consistently lays his arguments out using clear and concise language with detailed logic based on his own internal thinking model (Ti). He often speculates on possibilities (Ne) of where he or others might be wrong or fall into logical fallacies and traps. Given that his spouse Heather E. Heying is an INTJ it provides what might be the best possible symbiosis for factual truth. I often find that Bret lays his model out and Heather tries to correct or attack it, which is typically fairly difficult because Bret has usually already considered that particular possibility of error and corrected his model to account for it.
