While Si-dom Artoria is stuck with her desire to undo her rule and "save" Britain that way, Arthur initially is summoned with the same desire but moves on from it through his interactions with Ayaka, instead focussing his efforts on protecting the present (Ni-Se axis).

His true identity is the King of Knights of a parallel universe, who reached this world chasing after a certain powerful antagonist.
