Kuro to Shiro -purgatorium- (Japanese: 黒と白 -purgatorium-) is an original Japanese stage plays series, released on February, 19 2020 (with sequels 《黒と白 -purgatorium- ad libitum》 shown on November, 27 2020 and 《黒と白 -purgatorium- amoroso》 shown on June 30, 2021). The stories in the plays observe the "imperfect" world of mankind, Shiro (white, who stayed in Heaven) and Kuro (black, who objected the God's will to recreate that world) angels and tales of their rebirths as humans that unfold somewhere "other than here". Each stage play represents three biographies of those reincarnations from various epochs and places, unravelling the deadly sins and their roles in human nature.
