I definitely don't think his Te is inferior. His work has way too much consciously playful labyrinth construction in it and he was pretty adept at using it as an engineer. Also,he uses the unreliable narrator as a root mechanism in his work almost like a adapted aesthetic. Otherwise, yes his drive to synthesize metanarratives from various sources and shrouding them in myths in his work is indicative of high Ne usage. He is not deconstructing them(Ti) just spinning them into a syncretic narrative full of flourishes and aesthetic tapestries and revitalizing them. Even his influences and disciples are Fi,Ne users like Melville,Proust,Gaiman,etc.
