I agree with the comment below me and this character is just using Te and Si throughout the book that I can also see the author's perspective with how she views Anthony, Romance (or the idea for this era, fictionally) and the other characters). His book felt so human and passionate especially if you ignore how the author blurs the line of consent for the romances. But I still understood his character and his actions, I just hoped the show represent them better than the books especially since Anthony is very interesting character.
