Boris is definitely an ISFP because he does feel comfortable being alone, and if you read The Goldfinch novel Boris is often described being in a quiet broody mood and only truly being loud and enthusiastic when he is intoxicated or with Theo. Also, outside of Theo, Boris has a relatively small circle, and as an adult that circle is only a by product of what he does as a career. He is described as very reserved early on and only comes out of his shell after spending time with Theo, which is why I think he tends to fit more into the ISFP, because he is deeply emotional.
