Osobowość

"Jaki typ osobowości jest {profilename}? {profilename} jest typem osobowości {mbti} w mbti, {enneagram} - {iv} - {tritype} w enneagram, {big5} w Big 5, {sociionics} in Socionics."

D is hard to type since we're mostly only given hints about how he thinks and sees the world, or what he really wants. We rarely ever see his cognitive process. I would guess he's either a very stoic INFJ or a very confident INTJ. I would lean towards the former since he's been shown to be quite social when given the opportunity and many of the people he comes across find him to be charming and polite, albeit distant and with a somewhat short fuse. We know that he's sentimental and does seem to like being around people, but his half-breed nature and heritage makes any kind of non violent lifestyle difficult, so he hardens and focuses himself on a singular purpose, only allowing himself brief moments of respite. He doesn't feel that he's capable of an ordinary life, but there are signs that he would give everything up for a much more simple existence if he could. Even his father is disappointed that D, his only successful human-vampire hybrid, who might be the only man who can continue the legacy of the Nobility, devoted his life to a war without end. It's a cliche, but one that the novels have been looking at from different angles for like 30 years, you gotta give Kikuchi some credit for his dedication even if the actual developments of this can come up lacking. The novels also don't focus on him as a character, which can be frustrating. He's more of a plot device, portrayed as being almost mythic, a god among men. Most of the villains in his stories go through a similar realisation that it's impossible to kill him and that he exists on a level they can't comprehend. The best anyone ever does is inconvenience him. D is a force of nature and no god can save you if you cross him. He's not known for being forgiving. We're only ever given hints that there's a larger design to his actions. His inner monologue would be interesting to see, since he does clearly feel emotion, and often has to actively suppress his sadness and rage - hence Mel-Chol blend. 1w9 fits D better than 4w5. He seems to collect random knowledge and has certain creative quirks like wood carving - no, seriously - and can apparently play multiple instruments. His only visible reaction to stress is momentary violent outbursts, very rarely does he ever appear anxious or overwhelmed. He doesn't retreat within himself during these moments either, if anything his external focus becomes strengthened to the point of ignoring his enviroment or others around him. edit: to be honest, the enneagram argument was kind of weak, but if I change it to 4w5 this is going to look like a kin vote. The ISFP comment interests me but in retrospect I don't see him as a Fi user, he's too much of a softie deep down and he has the INFJ quality of isolating himself despite clearly enjoying and desiring the company of others. Left hand comments on this frequently, some part of D would give it all up to be a family man in some anonymous village, living as a fisherman or baker or something. D is an interesting contrast to Alucard from Castlevania, the latter embraces his humanity and eventually goes on to live the sort of life D feels is impossible for himself. D rejects his humanity and isolates himself. The short story 'ragnarok' is appparently the ending for the series, where D is locked in endless battle, which is rather sad. I'm not sure I'd call D self loathing but his sadness stems from a strong belief that he shouldn't have been born. His conception was not some moment of love from a monster, it was a desperate gamble for survival by the sacred ancestor. Man I really hope this series gets the adaptation it deserves someday.
