Originally he seemed a lot like an ISTP but as the film goes on he starts to look more like an ISTJ. I think tertiary Fi makes more sense than inferior Fe, he is just very guarded about his emotions. There is a quote somewhere in the movie about how 'Frankie did something he didn't like to do often, he took a chance.' In his mind, he always needs to know the facts before he acts. Sounds very Si dom to me.
