According to his short, he was living in a shack in the woods, alone and experimenting by himself without much success, until he hears a voice in the radio offering him secret knowledge and he accepts it without a second thought. also, most of his quotes are him being a nerd and analyzing things in a scientific approach (or making bad jokes, which every character does, except wes lol) So, the Ti explains itself with his quotes on both games (DS and DST) and the whole "reclusive scientist trying to make discoverings" trope (also Ne and 5w4) and, I think that he's a Fe inferior bcs of how ignorant he seemed to the fact that the voice could be lying to him or not revealing their true intentions (only second guessing himself before pulling the switch) Tert Fe is more like knowing people feelings (and therefore, intentions) but not caring, and rather using them to your advantage, which is literally what maxwell does in almost every short though. (also Wilson seems to be inspired by Victor Frankenstein, who's an INTP too, not relevant but funny that they share types)
