(Spoilers for TGAA2) When I first played through TGAA1, I 100% thought he was an ENFJ. His goals of social change, his selfless attitude, his bravery, all of it seemed like the epitome of Fe-Ni-Se-Ti. Pretty much the only thing that seemed mildly dubious was inferior Ti. At the very least, I knew he was practically the living embodiment of an SCOAI. But the last couple of cases for TGAA2 excellently demonstrated his dominant Te and inferior Fi. He's shown to be extraordinarily pragmatic and efficient in his role as a prosecutor, always pointing out the physical evidence before deriving any conclusions, and even seemingly letting Ryunosuke compensate for his blind spot by allowing him to progress with Ryu's more Ti-centric lines of thought. Comparatively, he shows very unhealthy inferior Fi until the very end of TGAA2, as his Fi motivates his goals in ways that he himself struggles to admit; he paints this image of total objectivity for himself, believing that everything he asserts is nothing more than the truth, to the point that he doesn't realise or accept how his emotions are influencing his actions. A great example of how unhealthy inferior function usage often involves using the function while refusing to acknowledge it and antagonising the usage of it. His resolve to continue as a prosecutor at the end of the game, having realised his mistakes but still believing he should fight to rid the world of evil shows how he neutralises his unhealthy Fi usage by the end of the story, even going so far as to sincerely develop it in a rudimentary sense. Amazingly well-written ENTJ. One of my favourites in fiction.
