If only he was written better than to only fill ''the annoying one'' role, he could've been a better and pivotal player in the game. He did took opportunities, he jokingly told everyone the truth, but more importantly he did not flinch back from battles. He did advance and try. He had potential to side with others and take down Alfred when he was weakest and made stupid choices. If only he was written better he would've taken Uthred on his side at season 2, have no doubt. I wrote this because I saw a flicker of Tyrion in him, the dwarf/fool whom everyone laughs off, till their heads fall off
Biografia
Æthelwold is Alfred's oldest nephew. He would have taken Alfred's place as King if it weren't for his age, and so holds a grudge against Alfred. A little younger than Uhtred, Aethelwold has led a sheltered life, and is an immature, petulant rebel, who wants to stake his claim on the throne.
