I don’t see the tertiary Ne. His complete rigidity, stagnation, the fear of the unknown and the unwillingness to be open to new methods let alone new lines of thought all point to underdeveloped inferior Ne. He’s Si-Fi locked in his ways throughout the whole film. It’s why he couldn’t deal with 2’s dominant Ne need for exploration and innovation. An ESTJ with Te-Ne would be more open to new possibilities for the sake of efficiently eliminating the threat to their survival, but his plan was literally “sit and wait because there are too many dangerous unknown variables”. Just because he’s a natural leader doesn’t make him Te dominant. That said, he’s most certainly a 1 core, one of the most textbook unhealthy examples I’ve seen. Arrogant and critical to a fault, strongly guided by his innate self righteousness and always needing to be right, lashes out in anger when his character is called into question, withdraws under stress to contemplate his actions and stew in his own misery, committed to his morals to the very end. A very well written shakespearean tragic character.
