Robin is the neighbor we’d all love to have. It’s no wonder that she’s the most sought-after woman outside of the in-game characters available for marriage. However, it’s important to understand why she’s an ESTP. In Stardew Valley, we have Elliot and Abbigail, who are indeed ENFJs. Robin, on the other hand, while she is proactive, sociable, kind, and polite, the way she interacts with others points to Fe and Se—though not necessarily in that order. Robin had the courage to pursue a predominantly male-dominated trade despite facing criticism and opposition from those around her, and she went on to become an outstanding carpenter. She’s always doing and suggesting things to help her neighbors, and wherever she’s needed, there she goes. But her relationship with Demetrius is what makes me lean more toward a sensory personality type, because they clash not only in the way they think but also in how they perceive the world and navigate it. An ENFJ would not only be more understanding toward someone like Demetrius but would also try to convince him in various ways to change his mind and ultimately adapt to her “for the common good and harmonious coexistence,” but Robin doesn’t have enough patience for that, nor does she feel emotionally committed to lecturing her husband. That being the case, I consider him a solid example of an ESTP with good social skills and a strong willingness to help her community.
