Simon Snow typ osobowości MBTI

Osobowość

"Jaki typ osobowości jest {profilename}? {profilename} jest typem osobowości {mbti} w mbti, {enneagram} - {iv} - {tritype} w enneagram, {big5} w Big 5, {sociionics} in Socionics."

I think that I’m not knowledgeable enough in the Enneagram to be able to reach a conclusion by myself but I can agree with the type 6 votes (the only thing I find a bit weird that he would be in the head triad while relying so little on logic…) - Simon’s unconditional loyalty for the Mage, his obsession with investigating what Baz is up to, always looking for possible threats… He is probably a w7 – more laid-back, optimistic, outgoing etc. – and the social instinct seems to fit him best in my opinion too, Beatrice Chestnut writes: “Social Sixes deal with the passion of fear and its related anxiety by relying on abstract reason or specific ideology as an impersonal frame of reference. They find safety by relying on authorities, or on “the” authority of reason, rules.” “They feel a need to know all the points of reference – what the party line is, who the good guys are, and who the bad guys are” “The Social Six can also be very idealistic, structuring life through an adherence to high ideals. This is a character who holds tight to ideologies and a particular view of things as a way of feeling safe” “Social Sixes have an intolerance for ambiguity. They fear ambivalence and have little tolerance of uncertainty, because to them, uncertainty equals anxiety. As a result, they have a love for precision and see things more in terms of black and white than grey” To me, this does sound a lot like Simon, especially his “beginning-of-the-book-self”. He tells Baz that he „makes lists of things not to think about”. I wonder whether it’s his 9 fix – and the its defense mechanism, narcotization/dissociation - or him trying to „run away” from fear as a phobic 6, collecting all the things that might make him afraid, anxious, confused then burying them, bottling it all up, to make sure they won’t threaten him? Maybe it’s not even type related and I’m just reading too much into it… Anyway, then he says: „I just take as it comes. And someday, something will catch me unawares or too big to fight, but I’ll fight anyway. I’ll fight until I can’t anymore – what is there to think about?” I know that he utters these words out of anger, he hates that he can’t control his power, still he truly operates like that most of the time – this quote just screams high Se, and of course there are other things indicating that, this is just one example which I believe wraps it up nicely. He tends to not think things through properly rather jump right into action whenever his feelings or impulses make him. Simon’s judging functions are undeniably as imbalanced as it gets (that’s one of the reasons why he could not be an ESXP), it’s hilarious how averse he is to making decisions based on logic, how unnatural is that for him, he struggles being objective and rational, it’s really always his feelings and values that guide him – that means Fi all the way. When Agatha asks him, shocked, that why he decided to help Baz find his mother, he simply answers: “Because it seemed like the right thing to do” and that’s basically the pattern behind everything he does. “I was just cleaning up my own mess, Baz. Like, no one would call you a hero for cleaning up your own vomit” – he says at the ball. Again, maybe I’m overthinking it, but it looks like he, as a high Fi user finds it extremely uncomfortable being praised for something he doesn’t believe is an achievement, it would be inauthentic of him to accept compliments that he thinks he doesn’t deserve, that aren’t “true”? Plus, again, it was just the “right thing to do”, it was what he had to do, why make such a big deal out of it? I think an Fe user would have reacted differently (There’s this thread about how the users of each judging function - particularly Fi and Fe - usually take compliments and I have made similar observations too: https://www.reddit.com/r/mbti/comments/i54urm/compliments/) “I’ve always been a terrible boyfriend. That’s why Agatha broke up with me. I basically just did what I thought she wanted me to do, but I always got it wrong, and I never put her first” I believe that there was something missing in this relationship and Simon wanted to make up for that – he failed to act naturally instead he tried to find out/sense what Agatha might want in a very constrained way – Fi user trying hard to Fe but failing? I know that the list of things Simon misses most about Watford was mainly a tool for word-building and to introduce the characters etc. still, I think it’s very Fi dom making lists in your head about your preferences, about things you like and why you like them etc. So ISFP. Now I just want to say that if it wasn’t for the characters I wouldn’t have read this book, but in the end I really enjoyed it…and I love you, Simon.
