as few people already pointed out, it's the tone of Sofia Coppola movies that make everyone seem like high Ne users. also I think this movie was meant to portray how some people view teenage girls -- as more of symbols than real people. it's visible with the Lux/Trip storyline, when he fell in love with the idea of her being this unreachable, mysterious girl and once she liked him back and the illusion was gone, she wasn't as interesting to him anymore. the movie was meant to show that others don't see the girls as real people, so it portrayed them as dreamy and detached from reality. but based on her actions, how would Lux be a Ne dom? I think she just wanted to experience life for the sake of experiencing life. pursuing in all the dangerous activities, being present and in the moment and never really expressing any concern for any abstract ideas and anything else than just the life itself. again, as someone pointed out, she's not concerned with consequences of her actions either (inferior Ni). staying after the prom with Trip for example, or when she lights a cigarette in the car and only thinks of how she's going to explain it to their dad when her sisters remind her of him. I'd say she's a Se dom and Ni inferior, but if anyone would like to explain Ne, I'd gladly hear it.
Biografia
All the Lisbon girls are the objects of the narrators' erotic fantasy lives, but Lux is the one who turns out to be the real deal. She's smart, beautiful, and more outgoing and independent than the rest of her sisters, but her sexuality is what distinguishes her the most. While Cecilia is like a disembodied spirit, Lux is lust personified. She likes to tan herself in the sun wearing "the swimsuit that caused the knife sharpener to give her a fifteen-minute demonstration for nothing". The boys described her as: "She was the only one who accorded with our image of the Lisbon girls. She radiated health and mischief. Her dress fit tightly, and when she came forward to shake out hands, she secretly moved one finger to tickle our palms, giving off at the same time a strange, gruff laugh."
