People typing RIPLEY,ELLEN RIPLEY, as an ESTJ will forever be funny and ridiculous to me. Ripley might initially seem like just another pragmatic, no-nonsense worker like the rest of the Nostromo crew, even giving off an ISTP or ESTP action hero vibe. But what truly sets her apart is her strategic mindset and ability to outthink the Xenomorph rather than just react to it. Her introverted intuition (Ni) allows her to see the bigger picture, while her extroverted thinking (Te) helps her execute plans efficiently, whether it’s enforcing protocols or calling out corporate incompetence in Aliens. Her introverted feeling (Fi), though tertiary, explains why she deeply values protecting her crew and later her found family, despite her logical approach. Her extroverted sensing (Se) is her weakest function, but under pressure, it kicks in, allowing her to handle weapons and physical challenges when necessary. She’s not just tough—she’s intelligent, relentless, and always several steps ahead, making her a textbook INTJ. Also, the idea of Ripley being extroverted makes no sense; at no point does she seek out social interaction for its own sake, and she seems perfectly comfortable in solitude. She can navigate social situations when needed, but she doesn’t actively engage with others more than necessary and doesn’t come across as particularly friendly.
Biografia
The primary protagonist and hero Ripley is probably the most famous character in the franchise aside from the titular xenomorph. Probably the most level-headed member of the crew, demonstrating an impressive amount of bravery and taking a few levels in badass when dealing with the xenomorph. De-facto leader of the crew on the basis of being the most proactive member. The sole human survivor of the Nostromo Incident and the only constant character in the franchise apart from the Xenomorphs, Ripley is awakened from hypersleep 57 years later. She gets suspended by the Weyland-Yutani company for "questionable judgment" regarding the ship's self-destruction, finds out her daughter died a while ago and that LV-426, the planet where they encountered the Xenomorphs, is now colonized. Once the colony predictably loses contact with Earth, Ripley accompanies the crew of Space Marines as a civilian adviser, and finds herself as de facto leader alongside Corporal Hicks due to unforeseen consequences
